One of the biggest things I noticed in our recent trip was how little you can see of the sky. Unless you're near the top of a mountain you can only see small amounts and it's rare that it's anything but blue or cloudy. This is on the hill behind the house I grew up in looking back at the mountain behind.

These birds reminded me of the vultures in the Disney film Jungle Book, constantly flying around from tree to tree like they couldn't decide where to go or what to do. There conversation had to go something like this.
"What we gonna do?"
"I dunno whatcha wanna do?"
"So what we gonna do?"
"I dunno whatcha wanna do?"
"How 'bout we fly to that tree over there?"
"Sounds good."

I can't go on long drives anymore and make good time, it seems I'm stopping every 15 minutes as the sun sets to create a new image of some fancy thing I see along the way. This tree stood here all alone on the edge of the road looking out over the lake with a couple little brothers looking up to him, waiting for their turn to grow and stand in the sunlight.
