Why aren't spiders cute like they used to be? Anyone remember Charlotte from "Charlotte's Web" or Miss Muffit who had a spider sit down with her? Spiders are still cute, their webs are still beautiful, end of story.

So many people are frightened of spiders but I still can't quite figure out why. It's like this built in fear from childhood that we can't quite explain or articulate but we also cannot rationalize it away. Their webs are so beautiful and tactics so effective that they really are amazing to observe, I guess I don't really have a point with all of this, it's more just observations but I'm curious to discuss it as well.
