A little product feature I did today. While looking into these mixers today I found some interesting craft projects that involve painting them. If you own one or plan to buy one I highly suggest looking into it as it's a fairly straitforward and simple process. The site You Craft Me Up has a great little tutorial and photos of how they did it here.
Recently got to photograph a lot of friends during a tacky christmas sweater party, an idea I've loved for a while. It was a great time and the mood of the evening got everyone to play along with some goofy photos. Though I forgot my light stand and thus the bracket for my umbrella that goes with it I was lucky enough to have some helpful friends to hold it for me, it really is amazing what can be done with one light. Next time I'll remember to bring a reflector as well.

That would be my sales pitch for this wonderful stand mixer, I love the variety of colors it comes in, each one more vibrant than the last. Sometimes it really helps to have something mixing while you are rushing around preparing everything else.

A fresh stir fry is a delicious and earth celebrating thing. The cookware in this image is made by Swiss Diamond, an interesting company with some very nice frypans and can be purchased at one of my favorite stores in Wooster called Today's Kitchen Store located downtown near the square. The owners Rick and Cheryl run an absolutly fantastic store that can find you about any kitchen item you need, teach you how to use it, and present it all in a well designed and caring fashion. I cannot recommend them enough as I am a frequent shopper there myself.
