It's been a while since I've made these and I'm in bad need of some new settings for my kitchen images, this table has gotten extreme use.Now Playing: Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory
The drastic change in color from one side of the sky to the other has always fascinated me and this image with it's oozing colors reminds me of so many Grecian paintings by so many fantastic artists.
Now Playing: The Glitch Mob - Warrior Concerto
Negative space and all the things we fail to notice.
Now Playing: Ashes Divide - Too Late
Deffinitly not my best work to date but I like the idea and this inspires me to get it 100% perfect. Let me know what you think!
Now Playing: Angus and Julia Stone - Just a Boy
I have a special project I am starting now and this photo was one of the requirements, I'm quite pleased with how it came out. More info to follow in the coming weeks.
Now Playing: Bon Iver - Michicant
Defiance? Yeah, I like it.Now Playing: Audio Bullys - Take You There
Had a great engagement shoot with a couple friends yesterday during a beautiful evening walking about at our local arboreutm with the sun setting throught the many different trees. Exciting times are upon us and I wish them the best of luck and lots of good times in the life they are beginning together.
Now Playing: Jenn Grant - Sailing By Silverships
Image a person with hair made of these petals, it's a sight I want to see in life. Now Playing: Angels & Airwaves - The Flight of Apollo
Entering some photo challenges lately and preparing to do a lot more product shoots so the next few weeks should be quite interesting.
Now Playing: Right Away, Great Captain - I'm Not Ready To Forgive You
All of the things so low to the ground that we hardly notice as adults wondering this world.
Now Playing: This American Life - 422
There is a fantastic album by Ghost Society by that title and for some reason this image reminds me of it.
Now Playing: The Middle East - Deep Water
I love how the little guy seems to be waving with his leg.
Now Playing: Andy Hull - 3 (Millions Even)
I have never seen water sit in the way it's sitting in the base of this plant, no matter where you walked and what angle you looked at it all you could see was a little mass of silver.
Now Playing: Andy Hull - We Were Made Out Of Lightening
Ended up having almost zero time to shoot yesterday but I was able to capture this beautiful sky into what I believe is a very awkward composure. The way the color changes from bottom left to top right reminds me of a very large rainbow.
Now Playing: Denali - Where I Landed
Got a new 70-200 lens recently and took it out for a hike yesterday where I found two dragonflies competing for space on a log, neither one would land unless the other was gone but they both kept on coming back. It reminded me of many things in life and since they are so paranoid of people getting close to them I was still able to get a good close up with this new lens.
Now Playing: Denali - Lose Me
Had the suprise of stumbling onto this little 3 foot long beauty during my hike today. I get so distracted listening to music and enjoying the nature around me that sometimes I forget to look down then when I do there is a large black snake in my path!
Now Playing: Sera Cahoon - Last Time
Today since I have been pressed for time in the last 3 days I will be sharing a small video clip taken on my last hike that I really enjoy. This is the type of thing that in real life I can just stand and breath in. I am glad that my iPhone 4 does a perfectly adequate job of capturing it.
Tomorrow it's back to the shooting which I am looking forward to immensely.
Some texture as the images rain down on your head.
Now Playing: Lykke Li - I'm Good I'm Gone
Today I woke three hours before I have to be at work and spent it drinking a delicious cup of fresh ground coffee and watching a keynote from Chase Jarvis and a lot of other fantastic photographers, their discussion of inspiration, how they got started, and what it doesn't take to be amazing is a great way of looking at life and work. A lot of my time in the last few years has been devoted to learning and creating, I want nothing more than to be surrounded by people who want to constantly grow and people like Chase Jarvis set such a great example.
Below is the keynote address itself given by Chase Jarvis during PDNPhoto Plus Expo 2010, if you have the time I highly suggest watching it as even if you are not a photographer the things they discuss can be applied to many areas of life. There are so many people and things in life that inspire me to work and be who I want to be and I want to start sharing some of them here.
Made some of the best lemonade I've ever had with Mint, Lavender, and Lime. It needs a better background but it just looked so good once I got done that I had to make an image of it.
Now Playing: Mad Men - Season Two
