Sometimes all you can see is the rage.

Exhausted after a great new years eve and a nice day at work I find myself driving home witnessing one of the most amazing sunsets I've seen in my short life.
I speed to the only close spot I know that has a great view of the horizon, turn my car off before it has come to a full stop and fling the lens cap off my camera quick enough to send it bouncing off the door and under my seat.
I then spent the next 30 minutes running/skipping from area to area making 94 images. This is my first day of 2011, and I will make every other one just as amazing. The best part is that the day isn't even over yet! We make life what it is and I choose to make it amazing. Good or bad I will feel it all.
The next four posts are the images I made today running around like little kid with a new toy, except my new toy is the world and I'll play with it all day. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

What can I say? All of these are delicious together.
So the original idea of this was to make my skin look like a cracked desert... well turns out it's a fair bit more time consuming than I anticipated as I couldn't seem to get it right on the first try in two and a half hours.
The result of that work is the two images below, I tend to invert some of my shots for fun while processing to see how it brings different things out that I may not notice normally and with this shot I liked the inverted image better than the standard one.

So much candy and sugar around this time of year, the first plate is fun, the rest makes me just want to beg for something green and leafy instead.
Tonight I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of christmas lights against the beautiful winter night sky. Figured I'd share it with my camera and you all.
